Trading settings allow you to set up trading defaults and confirmation.

● Defaults

  • Instrument - specifies the instrument used by default. e.g. the default instrument is shown on the Chart panel or in the Order Entry panel by default.
  • When Display amount in lots is checked, the amounts are show in lots, otherwise amounts are showed in units.
  • Show amount sign - show sign for exposition of first currency and exposition of second currency (for forex).
  • Order type - set by default the best type of order for creating.
  • Expiration - specify the date by default when the order expires.
  • Show SL/TP price in - specifies the mode for showing order prices. Select Offset or Absolute values.
  • Market Range - the difference between the expected fill price and actual fill price. You can turn one Use Market Range option and set the maximum slippage as you like in Default Range filed (in pips).

To specify additional settings for orders the first you need to choose forex, stocks, options or futures.

  • Quantity increment (lots) field is default increment applied to all quantity counters. 
  • Default quantity (lots) specifies the quantity of the default value of quantity fields.
  • If a value has been specified in the Warn if quantity exceeds (lots) field, then the system displays a warning message.
  • You can also specify the price increment (e.g. the Limit Price field in the Order Entry panel). Price increment (Arrow) (pips) specifies the increment value on pressing the Up Arrow (^) key. Price increment (ctrl+arrow) (pips) specifies the increment value on pressing the Ctrl and Up Arrow keys together (<CTRL> + <^‘>). Price increment (alt+arrow) (pips) specifies the increment value on pressing the Alt and Up Arrow Up keys together (<ALT> + <^>).
  • Default offset for SL/TP (pips) specifies the default value of offset field for SL/TP.

Use Default button is used to revert Settings to default (master) values.

● Confirmation

  • When Show deal tickets is checked, report pop-up boxes are always shown.
  • When Expert Mode is checked, the system will assume you know what you are doing and send orders to the server as they are, otherwise it will warn you about placing a wrong order. For example, if you set Stop Loss price less then Market Bid price for Limit Sell order, the system will show wrong message.
  • Tickets black list - specifies accounts name from which you don't want to receive trading tickets (about Open Position, Closing Position, etc.). For example, if you write in there: ac1_name, ac2_name, then you will not receive trading ticket from accounts ac1_name and ac2_name.
  • When Add trading operations to log is cheked, then all trading operations will be added to Event Log panel

Confirmations

  • When Confirm order cancellation is checked, cancelation of an order must be approved by the user.
  • When Confirm order placement is checked, order placement must be approved by the user.
  • When Confirm order modification is checked, modification of an order must be approved by the user.
  • When Confirm position closing is checked, closing a position must be approved by the user.

Warnings

  • When Warn if active orders on exit is checked, the user gets a warning message when he tries to exit, if he still has active orders.
  • When Warn if open positions on exit is checked, the user gets a warning message when he tries to exit, if he still has open positions.
  • When Warn if active strategies on exit is checked, the user gets a warning message when he tries to exit, if they still have active strategies.

Use Default button is used to revert Settings to default (master) values.
