Sorting & Grouping Entries

Sorting

Table data can be sorted by any column. Clicking a column header sorts the data in descending order. To sort in ascending order, click the header once again. When data is sorted, an arrow appears in the header showing the sort direction.

Sorting can be locked by right-clicking in the table and selecting View > Lock Sorting. When sorting is locked, any accidental click on another column header will not alter the sorting order.

You can also sort entries in an arbitrary order by clicking entries and dragging them to new locations in the table.

Grouping

Table entries can be grouped by several columns when the column has the Allow grouping option set to True in the Columns Settings. The column by which you are grouping entries does not have to be visible.

To group entries by column, right-click in the table and select Group by > [column name]. For example, the following diagram shows a snapshot of the Position panel, grouped by the Action column:

Each group can be collapsed by clicking the grey Grouping bar. When the group is collapsed, the Grouping bar displays column totals for the group. Clicking the grouping bar again expands the group. Then Group By option in the Group By menu.

To remove the grouping, right-click in the panel and select Group by > None.
