Drawing on Charts

A set of graphical tools is available to help you analyze price movements. All of them are accessible via the chart's shortcut menu and the Drawing toolbar.

To enable the Drawing Toolbar use the Chart Tools menu, or the Ribbon menu.

The following list of graphical tools with their corresponding toolbar icons are available:

 Line - may be extended beyond both sides

 Horizontal Line - you can specify the exact price level in Settings

 Vertical Line - you can specify the exact time in Settings

 Fibonacci Time Zone - measures useful Fibonacci periods

 Fibonacci Retrenchment - retrenchment and price goals

 Fibonacci Time Goal Analysis - you can place time goals

 Fibonacci Arc - arcs with Fibonacci levels

 Fibonacci Fans - Fibonacci angles

 Fibonacci phi-Channel - Fibonacci levels on a trend line

 Fibonacci Spiral - a spiral with Fibonacci levels as steps

 Andrew's Pitchfork - Andrew's channel

 Polygon - you can set up the number of corners in Settings

 Rectangle - a simple rectangle

 Add Text - a text for remarks and Elliot's waves marks

 Add Symbol - graphic symbols to mark levels or events

    1. Click any point on the chart to start drawing.
  2. To use a tool:

    1. Right-click inside the chart and select Tools > [desired tool] or click the appropriate icon on the Drawing toolbar.
    2. If the tool requires points to be specified on the chart (e.g. a line requires two points while Andrew's Pitchfork requires three), you will also need to choose whether you will Stick to close, Stick to open, Stick to high or Stick to low. This defines which price type you will snap when specifying points. In Freehand mode, snapping is not enabled. Note that you always use freehand by default when selecting a tool from the Drawing toolbar.
