Indicators

A collection of indicators is provided to assist you in technical analysis. The following indicators are available:

To construct an indicator, right-click inside the chart and select Indicators > [desired indicator]. In the [Indicator Name] Settings dialog box, go to the General tab to specify the indicator parameters. Click OK. Alternatively, you can use special Indicators... button in the top left corner of chart:

To highlight an indicator, move the mouse over the indicator's name.

Indicator Settings

To view and change the settings of indicators, click the Indicator bar and select Indicator Settings.

This brings up the indicator settings dialog box containing an Appearance tab with unique content. Here is an example of the Appearance tab for the Alligator indicator:

  • Visible - toggles the graph visibility on/off. To hide the graph, click the checkbox.
  • Color [# of line] - specifies the color of the graph line or candle outline and the Indicator Bar. To choose a different color, click the  button and choose the new color from the drop-down list. Clicking the  button makes indicator invisible.
  • Line Name [# of line] - specifies the line name used to indicate the line on charts.
  • Line style [# of line] - specifies the line style used to indicate the line style on charts. To choose another style, select from the available styles: Line (default), Dot, Dot Line, ISO Dot, Shaped Dot, Dotted Line, Double Dotted Line, or Histogram.
  • Line width [# of line] - specifies the line width used to indicate the line width on charts. To choose another width, select from the available values from 1 px to 10 px.
  • Time Shift [# of line] - specifies the time shift on bar charts.
  • Y factor [# of line] - specifies the special Y factor for the indicator.

When done, click OK to apply the changes and close the dialog box.

Defining the Indicator Appearance

When building an indicator, you can specify its line style, width and color on the Appearance tab of the [Indicator Name] Settings dialog box. To modify the appearance of the indicator afterwards, click the Indicator bar and select Indicator Properties. This will bring up the

[Indicator Name] Settings dialog box again to let you both change the appearance and edit the parameters of the indicator.

Alternatively, to view the settings of the Indicator shown, click the button  alongside the Indicator name in the top left corner.

Hiding and Displaying Indicators

To toggle an Indicator's visibility, click the Indicator bar and check/uncheck the Visible function.

Also to hide/show an indicator, click the eye button alongside the Indicator name in the Indicator bar.

Editing Indicators

Script Indicators can be edited directly from .Net station or Builder.

To edit an Indicator, click the Indicator bar and select Edit Indicator. This will show the Edit window.

After editing, save your changes by clicking the Save button.
