A Pending Order is an order to buy or sell a selected instrument when the market prices reaches the order price. Pending orders are placed using the Order Entry panel.
If you don't have the Order Entry panel on screen, right-click inside any panel and select Order Entry. Then, do the following:
1. At the top of the Order Entry panel, select the account in which you want to trade (note: this is not necessary if you are using a single account).
2. Select the market.
3. Select the instrument. If necessary, click the button to the right of the text field to bring up the Instruments panel.
When you open the Order Entry panel using the shortcut menu, the instrument selected in it is the one you right-clicked. To quickly change the instrument, drag the desired instrument from any panel to the Order Entry panel. Keeping the Order Entry panel open at all times, consider linking the Order Entry panel to the Watchlist to have the instrument you select in the Watchlist automatically selected in the Order Entry panel.
4. In the Orders

a. Select the Type of the order: Market, Limit, Stop, OCO, or Manual (see the Placing a Market Order section for information about Market orders).
b. Select Limit and Stop Prices if required.
c. Select the order's time in force. A GTC (Good Till Canceled) order remains effective until you cancel it. If not filled the same day, a GTC order is carried over to the next day and so on. A Day order is effective during the current day only and, if not filled, is canceled by the system at the end of the day.
d. Specify the order amount either by using the up and down arrows or by typing the amount in.
5. Click Sell or Buy and ProTrader .Net Station to send the request to the server.
After the order is accepted, a server message is displayed, and the new order appears in the Orders panel. If the order cannot be accepted, you will receive a rejection message indicating the reason.
When the order is filled, another message will be displayed; the order will disappear from the Orders panel, and a new position will be added to the Positions panel.
To turn off server reports, select View > Settings. In the General section, uncheck the checkmark in the Show report popup boxes checkbox. You can choose to display small confirmation popups instead by placing a checkmark in the Show confirmation popup boxes
