Hi ... huroji. We plan to add AlgoStudio in the PTMC. At the moment, we consider a priority to use C # and our own object model. This will provide greater flexibility for the user, allowing using the power of the terminal and the C # programming language. Also, we will analyze the demand, and in the future may be add support for MQL.
Hello mrttas. According to out approximate plans: finish LMAX and Oanda integration and then deep reviewing of Algostudio functionality and usability I think you will get first version about end of march. It depends what we decide to change or imrove in Algostudio. So if you have something usefull to propose - we are open to suggestions.
Also MQL compatibility is one of the most exciting features of PT. I am a follower since 2008 just for that reason. Hope PTMC will also support MQL as it will help an easy transition for MT4 users. Later they will realize the added benefits of C# and eventually convert their EAs but I'm sure no one will miss MT4 after that.
Hi, Protraders. Great platform and program. I'd like to second the request for Mt4 indicator compatibility. Look forward to seeing this program evolve, and eventually linking up with a real acct. Thanks and great work.
At first you need to import MQL4 indicator in PTMC platform.
1. Right click on chart and choose "Indicators" -> "Add indicator". 2. In "Scripts lookup" click "Import" button and add MQL4 file. 3. Click "Import" button.
When import is done, you will see your MQL4 indicator in Scripts lookup. Just add yours MQL4 indicator on chart.
If you need to use MQL4 strategies, see article "MQL4 Trading Systems in Protrader"
Also, for importing MQL4 indicators you may use Algostudio. Algostudio is full-featured IDE for creating, editing, backtesting and optimization custom indicators and strategies.
1. On PTMC main menu click "Tools" -> "Algostudio". 2. In Algostudio click "Script import" button and add MQL4 file. 3. Click "Import" button.
When import done, you will see your MQL4 indicator in Skript lookup. Also indicator will be copied in C:\Users\<user name>\Documents\ProtraderMC\My scripts\Indicators folder. You may open it for future editing in Algostudio.
Lendich Serge Dear Serge, Thank you for this very helpful post. Unfortunately, I am still having problems importing custom indicators. I have tried both methods of right-clicking on the chart, and also script import in Algostudio. The file types I am trying to import are either .ex4 or .mq4.
It seems the problem may be that the indicator is post build 509. Contacting user MQL2C. Thanks for creating a great community. Daniel
I hired MQL2C to code a custom indicator for me and he did a great job! I would like to leave a testimony for him to other's who need custom programming work:
MQL2C is a professional and skilled programmer. He knows what he's doing and created exactly what I needed. It was easy to explain my concept to him. I took a few screenshots and included it in the email. He is very responsive via email. Very reasonable price, and an honest person to do business with over the internet.
I converted an indicator from Ninjatrader into Protrader, and it works great.
