Vote regeneration

I have already used 2 of my 5 votes on feature requests and I was wondering if I will get more votes, get back those votes once the features are released or they are like points you get participating in the forums or whatever other sort of reputation rule. Basically, what I would like to know is if the 3 votes left are the only one I will have for the rest of my life or they regenerate :).
