Does CPU matter?

Hello,

Does PTMC rely on the GPU at all? Would running it on dedicated hardware instead of a VM improve its performance (beyond the normal "Of course a VM is faster idea")?

There is always a huge issue on market open where PTMC becomes very laggy. It doesn't crash or stop responding completely, but it does come to a crawl. Typically i have about 12 symbols open (according to iQFeed's monitor).

During this time, something as simple as opening a menu will take an extremely long time and happens in slow motion. The border of the menu is painted, then the text, then the background twice or more.

Adding a symbol to my watchlist will usually take around 2 mins waiting for the UI elements to be drawn. The search seems query seems to happen as normal, but its the UI that is mostly causing the delay.

All Windows related optimizations have been made. All animations disabled, services disabled, nothing runs on this VM other than PTMC + IQFeed, no other VM's are running.
