Choice of ANY in the symbol lookup
Interactive Brokers sometimes have quite strange exchange names, and that happens for other multi-asset broker/data provider, too. For example, in IB I need to choose SMART to find equities, but IDEAPRO to find forex.
It'll be much more convenient if in the symbol lookup, one can use "ANY" as the exchange and possibly the asset (e.g. maybe one wants to see AAPL equity and option symbols together).
If the worry is too much information may need to be displayed when people just use "ANY" exchange, "ANY" asset, and typed one letter, then the auto-search can just display say the top 10 matches and stop, unless the user clicks "show more" or "show all".

westblocfinancial 11.12.2017I agree, this certainly needs to be fixed as it makes PTMC unusable for me. I understand the issue may stem from the IB API, however, a more thoughtful solution to navigating between stocks and options with IB should be considered. For example, look at how IB does it with their TWS system. If you want to select the sticker stock, simply type in the ticker and press shift enter.
