RVIDiff indicator with the advanced smoothing algorithm is a “nuke prodigy” carried out from the difference between classical RVI fast and slow lines. RVI by itself is a hybrid of a trend follower and oscillator, but RVIDiff is successful derivative which remains to be a trend friendly with the idea to signal faster if new tendency arises. Based on Nikolay Kositsin’s mql5 interpretation, input smoothing parameter varies in the meaning depending on algorithm:
- JMA has Smoothing parameter gap -100/+100
- T3 Smoothing parameter is multiplied by 100 for better visualization
- Smoothing parameter for VIDYA is CMO period
- Smoothing parameter for AMA is a slow EMA period
